Fiscal Notes

Based on the analysis of TDHCA, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. No significant fiscal impact is expected.  

Bill Analysis

HB 74 seeks to provide a distinction between urban and rural areas for the purpose of distributing federal low income housing tax credits. 

Vote Recommendation Notes

HB 74 would make an administrative change with no discernible connection to our liberty principles. We are neutral on this legislation.

The second chamber sponsor is Sen. Zaffirini and the co-sponsor is Sen. Rodriguez.
