Bill Analysis

The bill would amend Chapter 241 of the Health and Safety Code by requiring hospitals to release the remains of an unintended, intrauterine fetal death, upon request to a parent of the unborn child, that is in compliance with the law and the hospital's practice.

We support HB 635 because it strengthens the ability of a parent to exercise their parental rights.
