Bill Analysis
The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to conduct a study analyzing the difference of the average total cost to the Medicaid program, private health benefit plan coverage, and individuals and other payors between administering a prenatal surgical procedure and a postnatal procedure to treat a birth defect. HHSC would also be required to examine the post-surgical operation effects.
