HB 452 would amend the chapter entitled “Motions, Pleadings, and Exceptions” within the Code of Criminal Procedure with the intent to set into motion procedures to expedite pretrial hearings.

Although HB 452 would help to facilitate the constitutional right to a “speedy trial" and would therefore affirm individual liberty.
