Bill Analysis

HB 2519 would allow emergency service districts vice president or assistant treasurer to sign check, draft, order, or other instrument if the president or treasurer is unavailable. The bill also expands the number of ways the district may dispose of it's property.

Vote Recommendation Notes

05/18/2015 We remain neutral on HB 2519 in the second chamber. The second chamber sponsor is Senator Watson.

HB 2519 would make minor administrative changes that would allow emergency service districts to operate more efficiently. Efficient government is always the desirable goal. However, due to the administrative nature of this bill it does not have a connection with out liberty principles. We are neutral on this legislation.
