No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to specify that military personnel information such as name, rank, pay rate or grade, or other specified information is confidential and not subject to disclosure.

By holding confidential the sensitive information of our military members, this legislation would promote their individual liberty to be free from needless intrusion facilitated by government disclosure of their private information. We support HB 2152.
