Bill Analysis

5/6/15 Update:

This bill is substantively the same as when we reported on it in its original chamber. We continue to remain neutral. The second chamber sponsor is Senator Birdwell.

First chamber analysis below:

This sunset bill would authorize the continuation and operation of the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) for twelve more years on September 1, 2015.

Vote Recommendation Notes

The reauthorization of the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities does not expand the council's current duties and does not grow the scope of government. Since HB 1679 neither abridges nor advances our liberty principles, we remain neutral.
