Bill Analysis

Summary: SB 1308 would provide the Texas Education Agency with the authority to develop and implement a methodology to audit and monitor assessments developed by new and current vendors.

Analysis: This legislation seeks to allow the TEA to use current and developed methodologies to review and audit the development or administration of statewide standardized tests. This neither directly supports nor offends our liberty principles. Therefore, we are neutral on SB 1308.
