Bill Analysis

Summary: SB 123 would allow the Commissioner of Education to hold an investigation related to a complaint about information inaccurately loaded into the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) as it relates to accountability and accreditation.

Analysis: Earlier this session the House considered HB 210, an identical companion to SB 123. This legislation would provide an administrative change that may or may not lead to more government transparency regarding public school accountability and accreditation complaints. Therefore, we stand neutral on SB 123.
