Analysis: In order for elections to be free and fair, and for each vote to have integrity, the voter rolls must be accurate. It is very difficult to remove dead voters from the voter rolls. This legislation would make it even more difficult. This legislation would increase opportunities for dead voters to remain registered which opens up opportunities for others to commit voter fraud by voting under the name of the deceased. We oppose this legislation because it diminishes the integrity of elections.
