Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 3566 would amend the Occupations Code in regards to the pest control industry. The legislation would change the rules for advertising to address pest control businesses that are “subject to regulation” not simply “regulated.”

Analysis: This legislation represents an attempt to curb false advertising for pest control services. It is unclear that new legislation is required to address this issue. We are neutral on HB 3566.
