Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 3463 would require the Health and Human Services Commission to show the total amount of certain welfare benefits or assistance a person has recieved  over the preceding 12 months when a person seeks eligibility recertification to continue to  receive these welfare benefits.

Analysis: HB 3463 has the potential to save taxpayer dollars and limit government if this information provided by HHSC can convince welfare beneficiaries they are taking too many benefits at taxpayer expense and these welfare beneficiaries stop applying for these benefits. Support 3463.
