Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 2843 would change the deadline for a claimant in a health care liability claim to serve an expert report from the 120th day after the original petition to the 120th day after each defendant's original answer. Additionally, this bill would change the deadline for each defendant to file an objection to the expert report from the 21st day after the expert report was served to the 21st day after the report is served or the 21st day after the defendant's answer, whichever is later.

Analysis: This bill deals with administrative issues that neither uplift nor offend our liberty principles. We remain neutral on HB 2843.
