Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 2732 would allow individuals to establish their own private, dedicated personal insurance policy. If passed, Texans who show specific evidence of financial security could set up their own health insurance policy in order to formally self-insure.

Analysis: HB 2732 would strengthen individual liberties and the free market by giving citizens more choices regarding insurance providers. For this reason it would also represent a limiting of government.
