Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 2570 would require the registrar, if rejecting a voter registration application, to explain to the applicant the reasons why the application was rejected – incomplete, improperly filled out, etc.

Analysis HB 2570 would increase individual liberty by giving the applicant a better understanding of what he or she did wrong as well as a better opportunity to fix any mistakes. This would help citizens register to vote so that they can fully take advantage of the liberties of this country. We support HB 2570.
