Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 2533 would amend the existing Hemophilia Assistance Program. Currently, funds are only available to help qualifying patients pay for the cost of the necessary medicine. HB 2533 would allow for patients to use the funds to assist in paying insurance premiums.

Analysis: HB 2533 would allow the program to get more use out of existing funds without requiring new spending. This amounts to an administrative change that neither offends nor uplifts our liberty principles. We are neutral on this legislation.
