Bill Analysis

Summary of Legislation: This legislation is bracketed for Henderson & Kaufman County.  It allows the commissioners court to enter into a contract with a conservation and reclamation district for the purpose of obtaining traffic enforcement capabilities on their roads.  Upon approval of such a contract the county commissioners are obligated to develop and disseminate traffic control rules for the appropriate roads.

Notes: This bill is a local control issue. If the County commissioners of the affected areas feel that traffic control is in the best interest of the safety of their citizens they should not be impeded.
