Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 2146 would prohibit the issuing of permit for mining projects on the Edwards Plateau that exceed 1,000 cubic yards of ground removal.

Analysis: HB 2146 would represent an increase in regulations on the mining industry. Increasing regulations does not match our liberty principles which call for limited government.
