Bill Analysis

Summary: Regulations pertaining to outdoor alcoholic beverage advertising are contained in the Alcoholic Beverage Code. The code lists specific types of alcohol advertising that businesses can conduct. Currently, automobiles are not on the list of approved areas for advertisement. HB 1917, by including taxis, vehicles for hire, and public transportation vehicles, would lift the restrictions placed on these types of vehicles.

Analysis: By eliminating an unnecessary regulation HB 1917 supports free market principles, personal property rights, and limited government. TPPA supports this legislation.
