Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 1428 would lay out certain rules for the presiding judge of the early voting ballot board. These rules would prohibit the judge from knowingly accepting a ballot from an ineligible voter or refusing to accept a ballot from an eligible voter. Violation of these rules would be a Class A misdemeanor.

Analysis: HB 1428 would strengthen the integrity of each vote and ensure that eligible votes are counted. We support this legislation.
