Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 1035 specifies the guidelines for candidates and officeholders who are required to report certain financial records. HB 1035 does not add additional required information.

Recommendation: HB 1035 makes it easier for those required to file reports to do so electronically. Adding online systems will make it easier for candidates and elected officials to comply with the financial disclosure rules and make the government agencies that deal with the information more efficient. We support this legislation and encourage members of the House to vote for its passage.
